Light
Enough to Travel | Geoff
Berner
Geoff Berner's Light Enough to Travel is a classic song of alienation
and angst. While the song is gaining popularity as the first single
off the Nettwerk Records debut of the Be Good Tanyas, Berner's
original is stark and haunting. An example of indy-convergence-production,
Pepper Sunlight built the video from images shot for the South
Country Fair multimedia documentary and during the 2001 Summit
of the Americas in Quebec City.

South
Country Fair: The Anarcoustic Accordion Player Goes to the Fair
Every July the town of Fort Macleod Alberta hosts the South Country
Fair, a weekend of music, camping and other festival traditions.
This year it was visited by a group of 'anarchists' from Vancouver
and beyond. Lead by a 'gun runner' and an accordion player, they
arrived ready to entertain, frighten and engage the audience.

Quiero
el paseo mi bicicleta ~ I want to ride my bicycle
On Feburary 27, 2000 a group of 15 cycle-tourists from the United
States landed at Jose Marti Airport in Havana. It was the first
of a twelve day educational tour through Cuba. The group of cyclists
came from all over the U.S., spanning Washington to Florida and
California to Maine. They covered about 700 kilometers on bicycle
and the back of a truck with stops in cities and towns of central
Cuba. As they travelled, they stayed and visited with the local
Cuban population and distributed humanitarian donations.
