Suddenly, the appetite for new media content seems insatiable.
What and who is driving the demand?

"The Internet and new media is creating a great new avenue
for all kinds of artists," says Yates. "Artists in music
and film and television have typically been dependent on big companies
to get their work out. Now, technological advances have lowered
the barriers to entry to the point where anyone with a little
money and some technical savvy can make it happen for themselves.
Also, new media is an exciting way to tell stories, because you
are no longer limited to just one medium. A project can have video,
animation, sound files, text ..."
